Indian Food
Some of my favorite Indian dishes and a little bit about them.
Most of my favorite dishes stem from the Northren parts of India, which is very popular around the world.
They are:Rogan Josh: A aromatic lamb dish, with Persian and Kashmiri origins. Known for the use of different spices like cinnamon, cardamon, and cloves.
Tandoori Chicken: A popular Northren Indian dish which is prepared by using spices and yogurt and then cooked in a clay oven.
Palak Paneer: A favorite of vegetarians, the dish consists of paneer (a Indian cheese) and spinach of course mustad greens can be used as well.
Channa Masala: a Punjabi dish that is dry, lacking the curry sauce that most Indian dishes have. This dish has notes of citrus with it while at the same time making it a great main course meal.
Basmati Rice: South East Asian long grain rice, which is the basic starch used to soak up the curry sauces.
Gulab jamun: A super rich and sweet dessert, made from milk solids and soaked in sugar syrup. A favorite at Birthday's and weddings.
The reason why I like these dishes, is the fact that they offer a variety of different spices and tastes. allowing many to enjoy the different spiciness from Hot to sweet!
